The short answer

AI for marketing agencies works when Claude or ChatGPT can read each client's own accounts. PopMCP hosts the MCP servers. Give every client a workspace and connect its Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Search Console and GoHighLevel accounts. Add one URL. Each teammate reaches only the clients and connections you allow.

The stack for marketing agencies, by job

34 of PopMCP's 100+ integrations are ones marketing agencies run. Every plan includes all of them, and each name links to that tool's own page.

AI for agencies: eight questions across clients and tools

AI for ad agencies is most useful on the questions that need three logins and a spreadsheet. Each one below joins tools from at least two stacks, for one client or across several. The tool names are the real ones your AI client calls.

Compare each client's month-to-date Google Ads and Meta Ads spend with the budget in our pacing sheet. Which three are furthest over pace?

  1. Google SheetsOps & Projectsgoogle_sheets_read_values
  2. Google AdsAdvertisinggoogle_ads_search
  3. Meta AdsAdvertisingmeta_ads_get_account_insights

One chat reads every client workspace you were given. Live spend is set against budgets that only lived in a spreadsheet.

Chains that stay inside one stack are on the stack pages: Advertising MCP stack, Analytics and SEO MCP stack, CRM, email and SMS MCP stack.

Why AI for marketing agencies needs hosted MCP

Each client gets a workspace with its own ad accounts, analytics, CRM and usage data. A workspace holds one connection per provider, so two clients never share one. Put the agency's own Semrush, Asana and Slack in a workspace of their own.

An owner or admin scopes each teammate to certain client workspaces. Each connection is then set to No access, Read, or Read and write. The PPC lead can change bids for one client. A contractor can read two accounts and never see the other ten.

One sign-in reaches every workspace a teammate was given. One chat can check pacing for all twelve clients. That is dozens of tool calls. No plan counts, bills or caps them, so month-end reporting does not change the bill.

Each client's credentials are stored in PopMCP, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. A teammate's Claude or ChatGPT holds a PopMCP sign-in and nothing else. When a contractor leaves, no client key is sitting in a config file on their machine.

What AI tools for agencies need first: client separation

An in-house team has one ad account. An agency has twelve, and people who should only see three of them. AI for marketing agency teams has to keep clients apart, let a teammate read without writing, and cut off a contractor without phoning every client.

Onboarding a client: the setup playbook

Run this each time you sign a client. Most of it is deciding who sees what before anyone asks a question.

  1. Count before you pick a planOne connection is one authorized provider account. Twelve clients with four tools each is 48 connections and 12 workspaces.
  2. Create a workspace for the clientName it the way your team talks, for example Acme Roofing. The list_connections tool returns each connector with its workspace and label. A clear name helps the AI pick the right account.
  3. Connect the client's accounts inside itUse access the client has granted your agency, not a founder's personal login. For Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console you authorize once. Then you choose which account goes in which workspace.
  4. Decide who reads and who writesA new connection starts read-only. Turn on Allow write actions only where the work needs it. Then set each teammate to No access, Read, or Read and write. A teammate nobody has set gets Read.
  5. Scope each teammate to their clientsOn every paid plan an owner or admin limits a teammate to certain workspaces. Do it before they connect an AI client.
  6. Have each person connect their AI clientThey paste https://app.popmcp.com/mcp, sign in and tick the connectors that client may use. Each AI client holds its own sign-in, so connecting Claude does not connect ChatGPT.
  7. Name the client in every promptWith twelve Google Ads connections, the AI has to choose one. Say which, and start with a read. An allowed write runs the moment the AI calls it.

Offboarding a contractor or a client

When a contractor leaves, remove the member. When a client leaves, disconnect that client's connectors. Both apply on the next request, and no client key was ever on a laptop.

Two limits. There is no screen that removes one AI client's sign-in on its own. And a contractor's own login to a client's ad account is outside PopMCP: remove it with the client.

Set it up in four steps, in Claude or ChatGPT

Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install on the provider side.

  1. Connect your accountsConnect each client's Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console accounts in PopMCP. Each one takes the credential its own API asks for, and a new connection starts read-only.
  2. Add one URL to Claude or ChatGPTAdd https://app.popmcp.com/mcp as a custom connector in Claude or as a developer-mode app in ChatGPT. Other clients take the same URL.
  3. Sign in with OAuthThe client opens PopMCP's sign-in. There is no API key to paste, and your credentials never reach the client.
  4. Tick what that client may useOn the consent screen, tick only the connectors that client should reach. Then ask it to run list_connections and start with a question that only reads.

What it costs a 12-client agency

Twelve clients, each with Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console connected. A thirteenth workspace holds the agency's own Semrush, Slack, Asana and Google Sheets. Six people use it.

Scale$199 / month

$165.83 a month billed annually. Plan limits as published on .

Thirteen workspaces is three more than Studio holds, so Scale is the smallest plan that fits outright. Studio with three extra workspaces is $125 a month and also fits. Scale leaves room for twelve more clients, and adds the IP allowlist and a year of usage history. Extra connections are $4 a month and extra workspaces $12. See every plan.

What MCP for agencies costs, by agency size

Each row assumes four connections per client, plus one workspace for the agency's own tools. Prices are USD a month, from the pricing page on 12 October 2026.

Add-ons can beat the next plan up: extra workspaces are $12 and extra connections $4. There is no add-on for team members.

Which writes to allow, and which to keep off

A new connection starts read-only. An owner or admin turns on Allow write actions per connection. Each teammate is then set to No access, Read, or Read and write. An allowed write runs the moment the AI calls it, in a client's live account. Decide these per client before anyone asks a question.

Connection Keep read-only Turn writes on for
Google AdsBudgets, bids and campaign status. A wrong budget spends a client's money within the hour. The PPC lead on that account, for negative keywords and pausing ads.
Meta AdsBudgets, new campaigns and audience uploads. The paid social lead, for pausing ad sets on their own clients.
GoHighLevelSending messages and editing contacts. A text goes out under the client's name.Whoever runs the client's follow-up, for notes, tags and tasks.
Google Analytics 4Property settings and key events. A new key event changes what reports count as a conversion. The analytics lead, while a client is being onboarded.
WordPressCreating and updating posts. A post can go live on the client's site. The content lead, for work the client has already signed off.
AsanaNothing here touches a client account. Read is enough for contractors who only need the task list. The delivery team, for creating and updating tasks.

What PopMCP does not do

It is not a report scheduler or a workflow builder
PopMCP does not send scheduled client reports or react to an event. A person asks in their AI client, and the report is written then. For a report that must go out on a timer, keep your automation tool.
It is not an agent framework
There is no SDK and no agent runtime to build on. PopMCP gives the AI client your team already uses a controlled way into client accounts, and the analysis happens in that client.
It does not cover every agency tool
The catalog is 100+ business tools, not thousands. Microsoft Advertising, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio are not in it today. Request an integration.

Questions from marketing agencies

Checked against the product on .

How do agencies keep client data separate with AI?

Give each client a workspace with its own connections and usage data. On any paid plan, also limit each teammate to the workspaces of the clients they work on. Then name the client in every prompt, so the AI does not have to guess.

What are the best AI tools for agencies?

The best AI tools for agencies are the ones that can read client accounts and keep them apart. Claude and ChatGPT both handle the analysis once they are connected. What differs is the layer underneath: a workspace per client, access per teammate, and credentials kept off laptops.

Can one chat answer a question across several clients?

Yes. One sign-in reaches every workspace that teammate was given, and each tool takes the connection to use. Ask which three clients overspent on Google Ads last week. The AI queries each client's account in turn. It cannot reach a client that teammate was not given.

Can junior staff use AI on client accounts without changing anything?

Yes. A new connection starts read-only, and a teammate nobody has set gets Read. An owner or admin chooses No access, Read, or Read and write per teammate and connection. That works the same on every paid plan.

Can PopMCP send scheduled client reports?

No. PopMCP has no scheduler and no triggers. A person asks for the report in their AI client, and it is drafted from live data then. For a report that must run on a timer, use a workflow tool such as n8n.

What happens to client access when a contractor leaves?

Remove them from the account and their access stops on the next request. Their AI client never held a client's credentials. If they also had a direct login to a client's ad account, remove that in the ad platform.

How much does MCP for agencies cost?

A 12-client agency with 52 connections and a team of six fits Scale at $199 a month. Studio with three extra workspaces also fits, at $125. Tool calls are not metered on any plan. Every new account starts with 14 days on Studio and needs no card.
