MCP use cases by industry: what your business can ask its AI

Model Context Protocol use cases are easiest to judge in your own tools. Pick the kind of business you run and see the questions it can ask across its store, ads, CRM, support and books.

MCP server use cases, by type of business

Each page shows the tools that business runs, the questions that cross them, what to keep read-only, and what it costs.

The short answer

An MCP use case is a question your AI client can only answer by reading your own tools. PopMCP hosts the MCP servers for 100+ business tools behind one URL, so the useful cases are the ones that join several: the store with the ad account, the CRM with billing, the ledger with the bank feed.

Or start from the tools

A stack page shows which tools of one kind connect together. An industry page shows what a business does across several.

Industries without a page, and why

Healthcare and clinics
The catalog has no practice or patient-record integrations, and PopMCP makes no HIPAA claim.
Real estate
There is no MLS or real-estate CRM in the catalog. Scheduling, e-signature and a general CRM would be all a page could show.
Legal, education, hospitality and recruiting
Each needs a system of record the catalog does not have: practice management, a point of sale or an applicant tracker. Request an integration.

Questions about MCP use cases

Plans and limits are on the pricing page.

What are MCP use cases?

An MCP use case is a job an AI client such as Claude or ChatGPT can do because it is connected to your own tools through the Model Context Protocol. Checking which ads sold stock you cannot ship is one: it needs your ad account and your store, not general knowledge.

What can an MCP server be used for in a business?

Three kinds of work. Reading one tool, such as listing yesterday's orders. Joining several, such as matching support tickets to their orders and tracking scans. And, where you allow it, writing: adding people to a list or drafting a reply. The MCP server use cases on these pages are mostly the second kind.

Are there MCP use cases for enterprise teams?

Yes. The same workflows apply, and larger teams lean on the controls more: a workspace per brand or client, access set per teammate and connection, an IP allowlist on Scale, and custom limits on Enterprise. SSO is available on request for Enterprise. See the pricing page for each plan.

Which industries does PopMCP cover?

There is a page for each industry where the catalog covers the tools a business uses daily. Industries that would need a system of record PopMCP does not connect, such as patient records or an MLS, have no page.

Do I need a developer to try one of these?

No. You connect each tool with the credential its own API asks for, paste one URL into your AI client and sign in. There is nothing to deploy or host.

What does it cost to run these?

The Free plan is read-only with one workspace and two connections. Paid plans start at $39 a month. Tool calls are not metered on any plan, and every new account starts with 14 days on Studio with no card.

Try a use case on your own tools

Connect two tools on the free plan, add one URL to your AI client, and ask a question that crosses them.
