Authorize once, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install on the Google Merchant Center side.
Enable the Merchant API in your Google Cloud project, add its OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret plus one Merchant Center account ID, and authorize once. Then pick which merchant accounts the connection covers.

Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your Google Merchant Center credential never leaves the server.

Then just ask for the work
“Pull a report of clicks and impressions by product for last month”
“Mark these 12 SKUs out of stock at our Chicago store today”
“Set up a 20% off Black Friday promotion for our winter jackets”
“Do any account issues explain why our products stopped showing?”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Settings → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting Google Merchant Center behind an AI client.
Yes. You enable the Merchant API in your own Google Cloud project and connect with that project's OAuth client, which is why the form asks for an OAuth Client ID and an OAuth Client Secret alongside a Merchant Center account ID. You then authorize once through Google's consent screen rather than handing over an API key. After that you choose which merchant accounts to connect and which workspace each one belongs in.
Google only lets your Cloud project talk to the Merchant API once the project is associated with a Merchant Center account, so one account ID is collected at connect time to satisfy that. It is not a ceiling on what you can reach: after authorizing, you pick which merchant accounts the connection covers. gmc_accounts_developer_registration_get_account_for_gcp_registration will tell you which account the calling project is currently registered with.
It can do both, but through two different resources, and that is the thing people trip over first. Writes go to product inputs with gmc_accounts_product_inputs_insert, gmc_accounts_product_inputs_patch and gmc_accounts_product_inputs_delete, while gmc_accounts_products_get and gmc_accounts_products_list return the processed product Google actually serves. So an agent patches the input and reads the processed product back to confirm the status changed.
gmc_accounts_quotas_list returns the daily call quota and usage per group, so an agent can check its headroom before a bulk inventory or product run. One quirk to know: for the accounts.list method, Google charges quota per user rather than per Merchant Center ID or advanced account ID. Setting the connection to read-only, or leaving writes behind approval, also caps how much a single session can spend.
Yes. gmc_accounts_create_test_account creates a Merchant Center test account, so you can point the connection at that while you work out which prompts you trust. You can also connect the live account in read-only mode first, which leaves reporting tools like gmc_accounts_products_list and gmc_accounts_aggregate_product_statuses_list available while blocking every write.
Product status changed arrives as a webhook whenever a product is approved, disapproved or otherwise changes status in Merchant Center. Change detection also covers newly disapproved rollups, account issues being raised, products and promotions being added, and a data source being added, removed or reconfigured. Account-level events are watchable too: new product and store reviews, a user added to the account, a program such as free listings or shopping ads being paused, a sub-account added, a return policy edited, an account link request, and conversion source changes.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server — Claude Desktop, Claude Web, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Loading 145 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 24-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. You can switch a connection to the full catalog at any time.
A tool is something your AI calls — there are 145 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 18 Google Merchant Center events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Google Merchant Center.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for Google Merchant Center, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
