Integrations compared
Pipedream wins on breadth. It covers 3,000+ APIs and more than 10,000 pre-built tools and triggers. If a tool is missing, its proxy can call any endpoint of a supported API with the user's credentials. For long-tail apps, Pipedream is hard to beat.
PopMCP wins on depth for business tools. The catalog is smaller, at 100+ providers. It focuses on the tools that run a business:
- E-commerce: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon SP-API, Cin7
- Marketing and ads: Klaviyo, Meta Ads, Google Ads
- Analytics and SEO: GA4, Google Search Console, Mixpanel
- Finance and CRM: Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot
Where the API allows it, PopMCP exposes the full catalog. HubSpot has over 1,000 tools. Tool search loads only what a task needs, so context stays small.
Pipedream's MCP tools come from its registry of pre-built actions. Coverage per app varies. Check the app page on mcp.pipedream.com for the tools you need.

The Workday acquisition: what we know
Workday announced a deal to acquire Pipedream on 19 November 2025. The official Pipedream account on X said the deal closed on 4 December 2025.
Workday says the goal is to let its AI agents act across thousands of apps. Pipedream's site still sells its plans, and the pricing above is current as of our check.
What this means for you today:
- Nothing has changed that we could confirm. We found no official notice of price or plan changes.
- Roadmaps can shift after an acquisition. Pipedream now also promotes Conduit, an early access gateway for companies.
- Review your renewal terms and export anything you depend on, as you would with any vendor.
We checked again on 25 September 2026. The pricing page shows the same plans and prices. Pipedream's docs still say it is hosted on AWS in us-east-1. Its privacy statement, effective 2 February 2026, calls Pipedream "a Workday company". It says Pipedream may share personal information within the Workday group.
Neither tool wins everything. Here is where each one is the better pick.
Where Pipedream is better
Say it plainly: Pipedream does several things PopMCP does not.
- Workflows and codePipedream runs multi-step workflows with triggers, branching and delays. You can write Node.js, Python, Go or Bash. PopMCP is not a workflow builder.
- App breadth3,000+ APIs and 10,000+ tools, against PopMCP's 100+ providers.
- Building for your usersConnect handles OAuth for your end users inside your own product. PopMCP is not an embedded integration platform.
- Free personal MCPIndividuals can use Pipedream MCP for free, with write actions.
- CompliancePipedream lists SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA support. PopMCP makes no SOC 2 claim.
- BackingIt is now part of Workday, a large public company.
Where PopMCP is better
- No buildingAuthorize a provider once and paste one hosted MCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another client. There is no SDK, project or external user ID to manage.
- Flat pricingTool calls are never metered. You do not track credits or compute time.
- Built for agenciesEach client or brand gets its own workspace with separate connections and usage data. Scale adds per-member workspace access.
- Deep business tool catalogsHubSpot at 1,000+ tools and QuickBooks at 133 go beyond typical pre-built action sets.
- Credential isolationCredentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never reach the AI client. The AI client signs in with OAuth and only reaches the connectors you approve.
- Read-only teammatesTeammates are read-only on Starter and Studio. On Scale, choose read-only or full access per teammate and connection.
- Independent focusPopMCP builds only hosted MCP for business teams.
