The connection model

One provider connection. One stable endpoint. Any supported client.

The provider account stays in PopMCP. Each AI client receives only the remote endpoint and the access boundary you choose.

  1. 01

    Connect the business account

Authorize Shopify, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Stripe, or another supported provider inside PopMCP.

  2. 02

    Set the tool boundary

Choose a curated catalog, full catalog, or read-only surface and issue a scoped access token.

  3. 03

Add the endpoint to your client

Paste the hosted Streamable HTTP URL into any supported AI client. Nothing needs to run locally.

Common questions

Before you add PopMCP to an AI client

Can I use the same PopMCP connection in more than one AI client?

Yes. A PopMCP connection has a stable remote MCP URL. You can add that endpoint to multiple supported clients and issue separate access tokens when you want independent revocation, rate limits, or usage attribution.

Do my provider credentials go into Claude, ChatGPT, or my editor?

No. Provider credentials are stored in PopMCP and encrypted at rest. The AI client receives the hosted MCP URL and a scoped PopMCP access token instead of the underlying provider secret.

Should every AI client use a different access token?

Separate tokens are recommended for teams and production workflows because each token can be revoked, rate limited, and tracked independently.

Does every client expose the same connector settings?

No. Each client names and organizes its MCP settings differently. PopMCP keeps the server side consistent: the same hosted URL, the same access controls, and the same provider tools.

Do I need to run a local MCP process?

No. PopMCP hosts the remote Streamable HTTP endpoint, so compatible AI clients can connect without a local server process or a deployment you maintain.
