PopMCP vs Paragon: Which Is the Right Paragon Alternative?

PopMCP vs Paragon compared: pricing, ActionKit, MCP, integrations and who each fits. A clear guide for anyone weighing a Paragon alternative in 2026.

The short answer

Paragon and PopMCP solve different problems. If you are hunting for a Paragon alternative, first check which problem you have. Paragon is an embedded iPaaS for SaaS product teams. It lets your end users connect their apps inside your product. PopMCP hosts MCP servers so a business or agency can connect its own tools to its own AI clients, like Claude or ChatGPT.

The verdict

Choose Paragon

if you are
  • A SaaS company shipping native integrations to your customers
  • An AI product team that needs your users' Salesforce, Slack or Gmail inside your agentBest fit: Paragon (ActionKit)

Choose PopMCP

if you are
  • A business that wants Claude or ChatGPT to use your own Shopify, HubSpot or Xero
  • An agency running AI across many client accounts

Many readers of this page should pick Paragon. That is fine. It is built for a job PopMCP does not do.

What each product actually does

Paragon: integrations inside your product

Paragon calls itself "integration infrastructure for AI agents and SaaS products." You embed it in your app. Your customers then click "Connect Salesforce" inside your UI, and Paragon handles the OAuth, tokens and API calls.

It has four main parts:

  • Connect Portal: a white-label UI where your users authorize their apps.
  • Workflows: a builder for integration logic your product runs for each customer.
  • Managed Sync: pulls your users' third-party data into your systems, for example a vector database.
  • ActionKit: one API, and an MCP server, that gives your AI agent "1000+ integration actions" across your users' apps.

Paragon ActionKit and MCP

Paragon ActionKit is aimed at "AI SaaS engineering teams." Your agent asks ActionKit which actions a user has, then calls them. Paragon's docs say ActionKit is "available as a self-hosted MCP." The public repo is MIT licensed and deploys with Docker. It needs your Paragon project ID and a signing key, and it authenticates each user with a signed JWT.

That design is right for a multi-tenant product. It is heavy if you only want Claude to read your own CRM.

PopMCP: your tools, your AI clients

PopMCP is simpler by design. You sign in, authorize a provider account once, and get a stable hosted MCP URL. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP. There is no server to deploy and no code to write.

Workspaces keep each client or brand separate. That makes PopMCP a fit for agencies that manage many accounts.

Integrations compared

Paragon lists "130+ connectors" and lets you build custom connectors against any third-party API. Its catalog leans toward the apps B2B SaaS customers use: CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot, ticketing tools, Slack, email, files and accounting.

PopMCP lists 100+ integrations. Its catalog leans toward running a business, especially e-commerce and marketing:

  • E-commerce: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon SP-API, Cin7
  • Ads and analytics: Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4, Google Search Console, Mixpanel
  • Finance and CRM: Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, Klaviyo
  • Ops: n8n, Okendo and more

Depth matters too. PopMCP exposes the full provider catalog where the API allows it. HubSpot has over 1,000 tools and QuickBooks has 133. On-demand tool search and token trimming load only what each task needs.

Bottom line: similar breadth, different focus. Paragon covers the apps your customers use. PopMCP covers the apps your business runs on. Browse the PopMCP catalog or request an integration.

Paragon pricing vs PopMCP pricing

Prices checked 24 September 2026.

Paragon pricing

Paragon does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows two plans, Pro and Enterprise, both "Get a quote."

  • Usage scales with connected users: "the number of tenants (customer orgs) you have."
  • Both plans include unlimited integrations, custom connectors, Managed Sync, ActionKit and Workflows.
  • Enterprise adds self-hosting, dynamic field mapping, SAML SSO, SLAs and professional services.
  • A free trial is available.

Neither tool wins everything. Here is where each one is the better pick.

Where Paragon is better

Say it plainly: if any of these apply to you, Paragon is the better choice.

  • Embedded integrations for your customersThis is Paragon's core job. PopMCP is not an embedded iPaaS and has no end-user Connect Portal.
  • White-label UXParagon's Connect Portal and headless SDK let your users connect apps inside your brand.
  • Workflows and data syncParagon Workflows and Managed Sync handle integration logic and RAG ingestion. PopMCP does neither.
  • Custom connectorsParagon lets you build connectors for any third-party API. PopMCP adds integrations on request.
  • ComplianceParagon claims SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR. PopMCP makes no SOC 2 claim.
  • Self-hostingParagon offers self-host and forward-deploy on Enterprise. PopMCP is cloud only.
  • Enterprise track recordParagon says over 100 engineering teams rely on it. PopMCP is a newer brand.

Where PopMCP is better

PopMCP wins when the tools belong to you, not your customers.

  • No engineering projectAuthorize, copy a URL, paste it into Claude. Minutes, not sprints.
  • Hosted MCP, nothing to runParagon's MCP server is self-hosted. PopMCP hosts every server for you.
  • Works in off-the-shelf AI clientsClaude Desktop, Claude web, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Zed, Cline and more. See Claude setup.
  • Public, predictable pricingStart at $0. No sales call. Tool calls never metered.
  • Built for agenciesSeparate workspaces per client, with per-member access control on Scale.
  • E-commerce and marketing depthShopify, Amazon SP-API, Cin7, Klaviyo, Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console are core, not edge cases.
  • Credential isolationProvider credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never reach the AI client. The AI client signs in with OAuth and only reaches the connectors you approve.

ActionKit is Paragon's API for AI agents. It offers "1000+ integration actions" across your users' connected apps. Paragon also ships it as a self-hosted MCP server.
