FAQ
What teams ask before putting Trustpilot behind an AI client.
Sign in to Trustpilot Business, open Integrations, then API Access, and copy the API Key and API Secret into the connect form. Add your Business domain — it is required, and PopMCP looks up the rest. There is no redirect URL and nothing to re-authorize later. Business user id and Data Solutions API key are optional fields you can leave blank.
Yes, on the connected business's own reviews. list_private_reviews returns the private fields — referenceEmail for the reviewer, referenceId for your order — plus each review's status and whether it has been reported. get_review adds the full report data for a reported review and its Find Reviewer history. The public tools, list_public_reviews and list_public_product_reviews, return neither email nor order id. When a review has no matching transaction, request_reviewer_details opens a Trustpilot Find Reviewer request asking the reviewer to share identifying details.
Service reviews take a direct public reply with reply_to_review, and delete_review_reply takes that reply back down. Product reviews work as threads instead: create_product_review_conversation opens one and returns its conversationId, create_conversation_comment posts the business's reply into it, and set_conversation_state switches the thread between public and private. Tagging is separate from replying — add_review_tags, list_review_tags, and remove_review_tag handle triage on service reviews.
Yes, but only with public data. search_business_units fuzzy-searches the Trustpilot directory by partial name or domain, get_business_unit returns any business unit's TrustScore, star rating, and star-by-star review breakdown, and list_category_business_units lists the businesses in a category. Private detail such as reviewer emails and order ids stays limited to the business unit your API credentials belong to.
list_all_public_reviews walks a business unit's entire public review history with cursor pagination and no 100,000-record ceiling, so that is the tool for a full export or backfill. The private lists are the ones that carry reviewer emails and order ids. One thing that catches people out: most tools want the business unit id, which find_business_unit returns from your exact domain name.
upsert_products writes a batch into the Trustpilot catalog matched on SKU — an existing SKU is updated in place, a new one is created — and list_products reads back each product's Trustpilot id, SKU, title, link, images, price, GTIN, MPN, and brand. On ratings, be deliberate about which summary you ask for: get_product_reviews_summary can merge several SKUs into a single combined figure, while get_batch_product_review_summaries returns a separate average and count for each SKU. list_product_review_summaries pages through every reviewed SKU when you do not know them in advance.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server — Claude Desktop, Claude Web, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Loading 79 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 35-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. You can switch a connection to the full catalog at any time.
A tool is something your AI calls — there are 79 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 13 Trustpilot events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Trustpilot.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for Trustpilot, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
