Credentials off one Eventbrite screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.

In Eventbrite open Account Settings, Developer Links, API Keys, create a key if none is listed, and copy its Private token into PopMCP. If your login belongs to several organizations, you pick the one each connection is for, and PopMCP locks the connection to it.

Eventbrite MCP server questions

What teams ask before putting Eventbrite behind an AI client.

What does PopMCP need to connect Eventbrite?

Your Eventbrite private token. In Eventbrite open Account Settings, then Developer Links, then API Keys. If no key is listed, click Create API Key and fill in your name and an application name, URL and description. Then click Show API key, client secret and tokens and copy the Private token, not the API key or the public token. PopMCP checks it, stores it encrypted and never shows it to your AI client.

Which Eventbrite organizations can the agent work with?

One per connection. An Eventbrite login can belong to several organizations, so PopMCP lists them when you connect and you choose which one each connection is for. The organization is filled in on every call, and the agent is refused if it names another one. Connect again to add a second organization in another workspace.

Can the agent publish events, change prices or refund orders?

Yes, once writes are allowed. It can create, update, publish, unpublish, copy, cancel and delete events, add and reprice ticket types, create discount codes and venues, and register webhooks. Refunds through the API are switched on by Eventbrite for selected organizations only; elsewhere the agent says so and you refund in Eventbrite. These changes run as soon as the AI calls them, so keep teammates on read-only until you trust the flow.

Eventbrite stores prices in cents and times in UTC. Will the AI get them wrong?

PopMCP handles both. A price like 25.00 USD becomes the USD,2500 Eventbrite expects, exactly, and a price with no currency is refused rather than guessed. Event times can be given in the event's local time with its time zone and are converted to UTC, daylight saving included. Pasting an eventbrite.com event link works wherever an event id is asked for.

How many Eventbrite tools does the connection have?

127 tools: all 123 operations Eventbrite documents for an organizer's account, plus four that do a whole job in one call (event overview, find attendees, create an event with its tickets, upload an image). 34 of them load by default and the rest are one search away. Left out are only routes Eventbrite has shut down or keeps internal, such as the public event search it retired in 2019.

Which Eventbrite events can trigger a workflow?

New, changed and refunded orders, attendees changing or checking in and out, events created, published, changed or unpublished, ticket types added, changed or removed, organizer and venue changes, new discount codes and venues, and an alert when total tickets sold passes a number you choose.

Can it search public events on Eventbrite?

No. Eventbrite shut down its public event search API in December 2019, so no connector can search other people's events. The agent works with your own organization's events, orders, attendees and settings, which is everything you can see when you manage events on eventbrite.com.

Do I have to run or host the Eventbrite MCP server myself?

No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.

Which AI clients can use this MCP server?

Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.

How do I connect Eventbrite to Claude Code?

Connect Eventbrite in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Eventbrite on the consent screen. The Eventbrite tools are then available in that session, and no Eventbrite credential is stored on your machine.

Why do only 34 of the 127 tools load by default?

Loading 127 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 34-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.

What is the difference between a tool and a trigger?

A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 127 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 20 Eventbrite events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Eventbrite.
