Awin MCP server for your AI

Ask what you earned this quarter, which programmes pay best, or for a tracking link to any page, as a publisher. As an advertiser, review your publishers, approve or decline sales, and post offers. Paste one token and choose the account.

PopMCPAwin

How much commission did I earn in the last six months, and how much is still pending?

Supported Awin tools

Every documented endpoint an Awin token can call, for publishers and for advertisers, with the tools for your side loaded by default. One-call tools split long date ranges, merge reports across regions, and find an advertiser from a page's address, so the AI spends few of Awin's calls.

36 tools in the full catalog: 31 read and 5 write. 34 load by default, and the rest are found with tool search.

Credentials off one Awin screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.

In Awin open your user menu at the top right, then API Credentials, enter your password and copy your API token into PopMCP. It lists the accounts your login belongs to, and you choose which one this connection is for. There is no app to review and nothing to deploy. A second key, only for reading standard product feeds, is optional.

Use Awin from the assistant you already open

One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.

Claude DesktopCustom connector

Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.

Claude WebCustom connector

The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.

ChatGPTCustom connector

Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.

CodexDesktop & CLI

Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.

OpenCodeCoding agent

Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.

ZCodeDesktop app

Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.

Awin MCP server questions

What teams ask before putting Awin behind an AI client.

What does PopMCP need to connect Awin?

One API token. In Awin open your user menu, then API Credentials, enter your password and choose Show my API token. PopMCP stores it encrypted and sends it server-side only, so it never reaches your AI client.

Does it work for both publishers and advertisers?

Yes. Awin keeps separate endpoints for each, and each connection loads the tools for its own side. A publisher tool on an advertiser connection is refused with a sentence saying why, before anything is sent.

I have access to several Awin accounts. What happens?

Awin's token belongs to you rather than to an account, so it reaches all of them. PopMCP lists them and you choose one for each connection, and that connection refuses any other. To work across several, connect each one.

Do I need a particular Awin plan?

Not as a publisher. Awin offers its advertiser APIs on the Accelerate and Advanced plans, and to Access users listed on more than one programme. On another plan, Awin refuses those calls and the AI tells you.

What about Awin's limit of 20 calls a minute?

It applies per person, across everything using your token. The one-call tools use few requests, and if Awin says to slow down part way through a long range, you get what already came back and where to continue, rather than an error.

Can it read transactions older than a month?

Yes. Awin returns at most 31 days a call, so awin_get_transactions splits a longer range for you, up to about a year, and adds totals per currency. Reports cover up to 400 days.

Can it read product feeds?

Yes, as a slice at a time, because feeds can be very large. Enhanced feeds work with your token. Standard feeds need Awin's separate feed key from Toolbox, Create-a-Feed, which you can add when connecting.

Can I give the AI read-only access?

Yes, and new connections start that way. Reading, reports and making tracking links all work. Anything that changes Awin, such as approving a sale or posting an offer, is hidden and refused until an owner or admin allows write actions.

Do I have to run or host the Awin MCP server myself?

No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.

Which AI clients can use this MCP server?

Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.

How do I connect Awin to Claude Code?

Connect Awin in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Awin on the consent screen. The Awin tools are then available in that session, and no Awin credential is stored on your machine.

Why do only 34 of the 36 tools load by default?

Loading 36 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 34-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.

What is the difference between a tool and a trigger?

A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 36 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 7 Awin events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Awin.
