Credentials off one Stamped screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.

In Stamped, open Settings, then Reviews Integrations, then API Keys. Click Show under Store Hash and copy the number, then click + Add API Key and copy the new key. Paste both here. The API Public Key at the top of that page is optional, and turns on the tools for what shoppers see. Stamped says API access needs a Professional or Enterprise plan, and only the store owner can make keys.

Stamped MCP server questions

What teams ask before putting Stamped behind an AI client.

What do I need to connect Stamped?

Your Store Hash and an API key, both on the API Keys page in Stamped, under Settings, then Reviews Integrations. Stamped says API access needs a Professional or Enterprise plan, and only the store owner can make keys. There is no app to register. The API Public Key on the same page is optional, and you need it for the tools that work with what shoppers see.

Does it work on my Stamped plan and loyalty version?

Reviews, questions, NPS and review requests use Stamped's V2 API. Customers, products, orders and loyalty points use its V3 API, which Stamped only gives stores on the Loyalty 2.0 dashboard. PopMCP checks both when you connect and tells you if your store lacks one. On an older store there are separate tools for Loyalty 1.0 customers, points and rewards.

Can the AI reply to reviews?

Yes. A reply shows publicly under the review and sends no email, unless the AI is told to keep it private or email the customer too. Stamped's public reference does not cover this route, but its own dashboard uses it. If Stamped refuses your key there, the AI will say so and you can reply in the dashboard. Publishing, hiding and tagging reviews work the same way.

Can it change a customer's points?

Yes. adjust_points adds or removes points by email or customer id, on whichever loyalty program your store has. If nobody matches, or several customers match, it changes nothing. Each call changes the balance, so asking twice changes it twice. It can also move a customer to a VIP tier, redeem a reward and cancel a coupon.

Will it email my customers?

Only when asked. send_review_request sends a review request right now, and create_review_requests schedules them for the date you give. Recording an order can also start Stamped's review request schedule and award points, depending on how your store is set up, and the tool says so. A reply to a review goes by email only if the AI is told to send it.

What can't it do?

Stamped's API does not change your loyalty rules, VIP tiers or widget design, so you still edit those in Stamped. It has no list of unsubscribed emails, though a customer's own record shows it. On Shopify and BigCommerce, your store owns customers, products and orders, and Stamped keeps them in sync, so change those in your store.

Do I have to run or host the Stamped MCP server myself?

No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.

Which AI clients can use this MCP server?

Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.

How do I connect Stamped to Claude Code?

Connect Stamped in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Stamped on the consent screen. The Stamped tools are then available in that session, and no Stamped credential is stored on your machine.

Why do only 38 of the 104 tools load by default?

Loading 104 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 38-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.

What is the difference between a tool and a trigger?

A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 104 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 9 Stamped events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Stamped.
