Connect Snov.io to Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code

Authorize once, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install on the Snov.io side.

Open Snov.io in PopMCP, click Authorize with Snov.io, sign in to Snov.io and approve. There is no developer app and no callback URL, and it works on any plan, including the free Trial. For webhooks, warm-up and the full API on a paid plan, add your API User ID and API Secret under More options instead.

Snov.io MCP server questions

What teams ask before putting Snov.io behind an AI client.

Do I need a Snov.io API key or developer app?

No. PopMCP is a registered OAuth client of Snov.io, so you open Snov.io in PopMCP, click Authorize with Snov.io, sign in and approve. The sign-in uses OAuth with PKCE and needs no developer app or callback URL. An API User ID and API Secret are optional and go under More options.

Which Snov.io plan does this need?

Signing in works on every plan, including the free Trial, because Snov.io includes its MCP server on all of them. API keys and webhooks are different: Snov.io leaves API and webhook access out of the Trial, so connecting with keys needs a paid plan.

What is the difference between signing in and using API keys?

Signing in gives the AI Snov.io's own MCP tools, read live for your account, which include Unibox, LinkedIn actions, deals, tasks and list management. API keys give it every documented endpoint of Snov.io's REST API, which includes webhooks, email warm-up and sender account settings. A connection is one or the other, and you can add Snov.io twice to have both.

Will the AI spend my Snov.io credits?

Only on the tools that cost credits, and each one says so. Finding an email costs 1 credit for each email with a valid or unknown status, a domain lookup costs 1 credit per unique request, and reading a LinkedIn profile costs 1 credit for each profile returned. Checking your balance, counting a domain's emails and reading campaign reports are free.

Can the AI send emails or LinkedIn messages on its own?

Not until you allow it. New connections start read-only, so anything that contacts people waits until an owner or admin allows write actions in PopMCP. Even then, snov_create_email_campaign only makes an unsent draft: a campaign starts sending when it is started, and the AI is told to confirm with you first.

Why does finding an email take a moment?

Snov.io runs most searches as a task: one request starts it, and another reads the result when it is ready. PopMCP's tools start the task, wait and return the answer. If Snov.io is still working after about 45 seconds, the AI gets a task id to check later, so a slow search is never started twice and credits are not spent twice.

Do I have to run or host the Snov.io MCP server myself?

No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.

Which AI clients can use this MCP server?

Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.

How do I connect Snov.io to Claude Code?

Connect Snov.io in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Snov.io on the consent screen. The Snov.io tools are then available in that session, and no Snov.io credential is stored on your machine.

Why do only 36 of the 93 tools load by default?

Loading 93 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 36-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.

What is the difference between a tool and a trigger?

A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 93 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 15 Snov.io events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Snov.io.
