ShareASale's own endpoints are gone, so this server uses Awin's API, where upgraded accounts now live. It covers every documented endpoint an Awin token can call, for publishers and advertisers, and tells you what each old ShareASale action became, including the ones with no replacement.

Connect ShareASale to Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code
Credentials off one ShareASale screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.
In Awin open your user menu at the top right, then API Credentials, enter your password and copy your API token into PopMCP. Old ShareASale tokens and secrets do not work. PopMCP lists the accounts your login belongs to, and you choose which one this connection is for. A second key, only for reading standard product feeds, is optional.

Approving or declining transactions, sending conversions, posting offers and uploading feeds wait until an owner or admin allows write actions; new connections start read-only. Each connection is pinned to one account and refuses any other. Awin tokens have no permission settings of their own, so this switch is the limit. Your product feed key stays out of every answer.

ShareASale MCP server questions
What teams ask before putting ShareASale behind an AI client.
Is ShareASale still running?
No. Awin, which owns ShareASale, closed the platform on 6 October 2025 and moved its accounts to Awin. shareasale.com now redirects to Awin, and you can no longer sign in to a ShareASale account.
Does this use the ShareASale API?
No. That API has no working endpoints left, and no one can get new credentials for it. Every call here goes to Awin's API, which is where Awin sends people who used the ShareASale API.
Will my ShareASale token and secret work?
No. You need your Awin API token. In Awin open your user menu, then API Credentials, enter your password and choose Show my API token. PopMCP stores it encrypted and sends it server-side only, so it never reaches your AI client.
What if my account was not moved to Awin?
Awin says it upgraded publishers it approved who had registered after January 2023, been active since January 2024, or had five or more approved partnerships. Anyone else can register with Awin directly. You need an Awin login to connect.
My old scripts use actions like merchantSearch or activitySummary. What now?
Ask the AI what the action became. It answers with the tools to use now, and says plainly when Awin has no replacement, as with approving affiliates or reading a ledger. ShareASale's reference is gone, so the list is built from public client libraries and may not be complete.
Do my old merchant and affiliate ids still work?
No. Awin says upgraded advertisers received a new Awin id in place of their ShareASale Merchant ID. PopMCP lists the accounts your login can reach and fills in the id for you.
Can it read my old ShareASale history?
It reads what Awin holds. Awin says ShareASale payment statements can no longer be retrieved, and it advised downloading reports before the closure. How much older activity moved across is a question for Awin.
Should I connect this or Awin?
Both reach the same account with the same token and the same tools. This one adds the lookup for old ShareASale actions and terms. The Awin connector also has event triggers.
Do I need a particular Awin plan?
Not as a publisher. Awin offers its advertiser APIs on the Accelerate and Advanced plans, and to Access users listed on more than one programme. On another plan, Awin refuses those calls and the AI tells you.
Is there still a monthly API allowance?
No. Awin has no monthly cap. It allows 20 calls a minute per person, across everything using your token, including an Awin connection made with the same token.
Can I give the AI read-only access?
Yes, and new connections start that way. Reading, reports and making tracking links all work. Anything that changes Awin, such as approving a sale or posting an offer, is hidden and refused until an owner or admin allows write actions.
Do I have to run or host the ShareASale MCP server myself?
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Which AI clients can use this MCP server?
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
How do I connect ShareASale to Claude Code?
Connect ShareASale in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking ShareASale on the consent screen. The ShareASale tools are then available in that session, and no ShareASale credential is stored on your machine.
