Authorize once, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install on the Podium side.
Click Sign in with Podium, sign in with your Podium login and approve access on Podium's page. If PopMCP's form asks for a Client ID and Client Secret instead, create an app at developer.podium.com with PopMCP's redirect URL and enter its details. A new developer account waits a few days for Podium's review.
Your app's Client ID••••••••••••3f7ayour-podium-valueTexts, emails, invoices and campaigns reach real customers the moment the AI calls them, review replies are public, and refunds move real money, so have the AI show you the words or the amount first. Connections start read-only.
Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your Podium credential never leaves the server.
app.popmcp.com/mcpAsk for something harmless before the agent changes anything. Writes run as soon as it calls them, so confirm it reads the right account first.
How is each of my locations rated, and on which review sites?
podium_account_overviewok
Then just ask for the work
“How is each of my locations rated, and on which review sites?”
“Which reviews still need a reply? Draft a response to the lowest rated one”
“What did Joe Orange last say to us, and who is handling it?”
“Text +15555550123 from our Main Street location that their car is ready”
“How much did we take in invoices last month, and how much is still unpaid?”
“Who called and left a voicemail yesterday, and what did they want?”
“Tag everyone we spoke to about financing today as Finance lead”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting Podium behind an AI client.
A Podium login at the business you want to connect. You approve access on Podium's own page, so your password is never shared. Podium has no API keys, so if PopMCP's form asks for a Client ID and Client Secret, you need your own app from developer.podium.com, and Podium reviews a new developer account for a few days first.
Yes. One connection is one Podium organization with all the locations your login can see. Tools take a location by its name or its id, and a one-location business never has to say. Podium's contacts, tags and users belong to the whole organization, so a connection cannot be narrowed to a single location.
Only if you turn on write access for the connection, and connections start read-only. Once it is on, a text, email, invoice or campaign goes out as soon as the AI calls the tool, so ask it to show you the words first. The tools tell the AI to confirm with you, and read-only connections cannot send anything.
It can create invoices that send a payment link, cancel them, and refund paid ones, all with write access on. Amounts are in whole cents, and the connector refuses anything else, so a decimal cannot be sent as the wrong amount. It never handles card numbers: charging a card by hand needs a Stripe payment method id.
Podium keeps a few routes, such as listing payment accounts and changing a contact's opt-out state, for apps it has allow-listed. Those answer 403 until Podium's support team adds the app. Everything else works with the permissions you approved.
Podium's developer documents list no separate fee for using the API. What you can reach follows your Podium plan and the permissions of the person who signs in: someone who cannot see invoices in Podium gets a 403 from the invoice tools too.
Yes. Podium's webhooks are set up over its API, so with nothing to configure in Podium, PopMCP can watch for messages, new reviews and replies, invoice payments and refunds, contact changes, missed calls and voicemails.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Connect Podium in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Podium on the consent screen. The Podium tools are then available in that session, and no Podium credential is stored on your machine.
Loading 101 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 39-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.
A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 101 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 20 Podium events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Podium.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for Podium, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
