PopMCPOptinMonster
This connector mirrors OptinMonster's own MCP server tool for tool, so your AI works with what OptinMonster offers assistants, including previews, design edits and display rules. New campaigns start paused, so you see a preview before anything reaches your visitors.

Authorize once, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install on the OptinMonster side.
Open OptinMonster in PopMCP, click Sign in with OptinMonster, approve PopMCP, sign in to OptinMonster and choose the permissions to grant. There is no developer app and no callback URL to set up. To work with lead export, tags or integrations instead, add an API key from My Account, then API, under More options.
your-optinmonster-value••••••••••••3f7aReading changes nothing in your account. Building, editing, pausing and changing display rules wait until an owner or admin allows write actions in PopMCP, and new connections start read-only. Your AI can never do more than your own role in OptinMonster allows, and lead details are a separate permission from lead counts.
Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your OptinMonster credential never leaves the server.
app.popmcp.com/mcpAsk for something harmless before the agent changes anything. Writes run as soon as it calls them, so confirm it reads the right account first.
Which of my campaigns converted best this month, and what do the top ones have in common?
optinmonster_list_sitesok
Then just ask for the work
“Which of my campaigns converted best this month, and what do the top ones have in common?”
“Build an exit-intent popup for my spring sale from a template and show me a preview”
“Show this campaign only to first-time visitors on my pricing page”
“Why is this popup showing on my checkout page?”
“How many leads did I collect this month compared with last month?”
“Pause this campaign, and copy it so I can test a new headline”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting OptinMonster behind an AI client.
No. You click Sign in with OptinMonster, approve PopMCP, sign in and choose the permissions. There is nothing to create first. An API key is optional, under More options, for lead export, tags, integrations and revenue reporting.
OptinMonster's pricing page lists MCP access from its Basic plan. Some campaign features, such as certain templates and split tests, depend on your plan.
Only if you allow it. New connections are read-only in PopMCP. Once write actions are allowed, pausing a campaign or changing its display rules takes effect on your site straight away. New campaigns start paused until you approve them.
Only if you grant it. Lead details are a separate permission from lead counts when you sign in, so you can leave them off and still get the numbers.
Signing in reaches OptinMonster's own assistant tools, including campaign design, previews and display rules. An API key reaches lead lists, export and delete, tags, integrations and revenue reporting, but not design or display rules. A connection uses one or the other, and you can add a second connection to have both.
No. OptinMonster cannot create discount codes itself. Connect your store as well and your AI can create the code there, then use it in the campaign.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Connect OptinMonster in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking OptinMonster on the consent screen. The OptinMonster tools are then available in that session, and no OptinMonster credential is stored on your machine.
Loading 68 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 44-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.
A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 68 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 4 OptinMonster events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into OptinMonster.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for OptinMonster, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
