memberful_cancel_ subscription_ renewalCancel a subscription at the end of its paid period: it stops renewing and stops billing, gives no refund, and the member keeps access until it expires.
Check whether someone has access, cancel a renewal or give a member more time, add coupon codes, and see active members and recurring revenue per plan.

Credentials off one Memberful screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.
In Memberful open Settings, then Custom applications, and add a new one named PopMCP. Paste its API key here with your site address, the one ending in .memberful.com. PopMCP checks the key with one small read before saving it.
acme.memberful.com••••••••••••3f7aMemberful has no test mode, so a change is real as soon as the AI makes it. Cancelling a renewal keeps the access a member paid for, while deleting a subscription ends it at once and cannot be undone. Tick Memberful on the PopMCP consent screen only for clients that should change data. Teammates start on read-only.
Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your Memberful credential never leaves the server.
app.popmcp.com/mcpAsk for something harmless before the agent changes anything. Writes run as soon as it calls them, so confirm it reads the right account first.
Does mary@example.com still have access to Gold, and when does it end

Then just ask for the work
“Does mary@example.com still have access to Gold, and when does it end”
“How many active members do I have on each plan, and what is my monthly recurring revenue”
“Which subscriptions end in the next 14 days without renewing”
“Cancel Sam's renewal at the end of the paid period, and give Priya one more month”
“Add these 20 single-use codes to my Summer coupon and tell me which ones failed”
“What can this API do with downloads, and list mine”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting Memberful behind an AI client.
Your site address and an API key. In Memberful open Settings, then Custom applications, click Add a new Custom Application, name it PopMCP, leave the OAuth box unticked and create it, then copy the API Key. Use the address ending in .memberful.com even if members see your own domain. PopMCP stores the key encrypted and sends it only to that address.
Yes. The Memberful dashboard says Plan and Price, while its API says pass and plan for the same two things. The tools and their descriptions spell this out, so a plan you name is looked up correctly, and access is decided by the plan members subscribe to, not by the price they pay.
Yes, on a connection with write access. cancel_subscription_renewal stops billing and keeps access until the paid period ends, with no refund, and resume_subscription_renewal undoes it. delete_subscription ends access at once and cannot be undone, and its description tells the AI to confirm with you first.
Yes. Memberful keeps its API reference inside each signed-in account and publishes no schema file, so PopMCP reads the live schema with your key. list_api_operations shows every query and mutation your site offers, and run_api_query and run_api_mutation run any of them by name. Operations Memberful adds later work without an update.
No. Memberful has no sandbox, and its own API Explorer also works on real data. Every change is real at once, so start on a read-only connection if you want to try things first.
Memberful's API only includes custom fields enabled before July 2021, and dates up to 19 January 2038. Webhooks are set up by hand in Memberful, under Settings, then Webhooks. Member sign-in for your own apps is a separate OAuth feature that this connection does not use.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Connect Memberful in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Memberful on the consent screen. The Memberful tools are then available in that session, and no Memberful credential is stored on your machine.
Yes. The Memberful catalog is small enough that all 25 tool definitions load into every conversation, so your AI never has to search for one before it can call it.
A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 25 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 6 Memberful events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Memberful.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for Memberful, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
