Credentials off one LoyaltyLion screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.
In LoyaltyLion, go to Manage, then API keys, and click Create API key. Tick the permissions you want the AI to have and copy the token, which is shown only once. Paste it here. There is no app to register and nothing to approve.
••••••••••••3f7aChanging a balance, redeeming a reward and approving an activity take effect the moment the AI calls them, and shoppers can see the result. To keep a connection to reading, tick only read permissions on the key or choose read-only access in PopMCP. Each connection reaches one loyalty program.
Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your LoyaltyLion credential never leaves the server.
app.popmcp.com/mcpAsk for something harmless before the agent changes anything. Writes run as soon as it calls them, so confirm it reads the right account first.
What's jane@example.com's points balance and tier, and what can she redeem right now?
loyaltylion_get_customer_overviewok
Then just ask for the work
“What's jane@example.com's points balance and tier, and what can she redeem right now?”
“How is our loyalty program set up: earning rules, rewards, tiers and points expiry?”
“How many new members and how much loyalty revenue did we get each month this year?”
“Add 500 points to jane@example.com as an apology for her late order”
“Redeem the $5 off reward for Jane and give me the voucher code”
“Export everyone whose loyalty record changed since September 1 and give me the file”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting LoyaltyLion behind an AI client.
One API key. In LoyaltyLion go to Manage, then API keys, click Create API key, tick the permissions and copy the token straight away, since LoyaltyLion shows it only once. Paste it into PopMCP. There is no app to register and nothing to approve. Do not use the older token and secret from Settings: LoyaltyLion ends support for them on January 10, 2027, and they reach only part of the API.
Tick every read and write permission if the AI should be able to change points, redeem rewards and report orders. Tick only the read ones for a key that can look but not touch. Add write_configuration only if the AI may turn rewards on and off. You can change a key's permissions at any time in LoyaltyLion without reconnecting, and a tool that needs a missing one says which.
Yes, on LoyaltyLion's Classic plan and above. Program setup covers earning rules, rewards, tiers, points expiry and the referral incentive. Analytics gives a time series by day, week or month for members, points, orders, revenue, rewards and customer lifetime value. Both come from LoyaltyLion's own read-only AI server through the same key. On the Plus plan the AI can also read your audit log.
Yes. adjust_customer_points adds or removes points by email or store id. It matches the email exactly and asks which customer if two share it, and when it looks up by email it shows the balance before and after. Each call changes the balance, so asking twice adds twice. The reason you give is visible to the shopper.
Mostly no. LoyaltyLion's API can turn a reward on or off, and that is the only program setting it can change. You still edit rules, rewards and tiers in LoyaltyLion. The AI can read all of them.
Add one connection per program. An API key belongs to one program, so switch program in LoyaltyLion, make a key there and connect it. Within a program with several sites, the AI asks which site where it matters, and with one site it never needs to ask.
Yes. The AI can list, create and delete subscriptions for events like points earned, tier changes and redeemed rewards. LoyaltyLion signs each delivery with your site secret when the subscription was made with an API key, and each subscription is visible only to the credential that made it.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Connect LoyaltyLion in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking LoyaltyLion on the consent screen. The LoyaltyLion tools are then available in that session, and no LoyaltyLion credential is stored on your machine.
Loading 67 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 39-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.
A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 67 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 29 LoyaltyLion events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into LoyaltyLion.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for LoyaltyLion, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
