brandwatch_brand_ snapshotA one call summary of a saved query, by name or id, over days or dates: total mentions, sentiment split, daily trend, top topics, top sites and top authors.
Ask what people are saying about your brand this week, how sentiment moved and which sites and authors drive it. Your agent answers from your Brandwatch queries, and changes stay off until you turn them on.
PopMCPBrandwatch

Credentials off one Brandwatch screen, then an endpoint your client signs into. Nothing to deploy, and nothing to install.
Set up a separate Brandwatch user with the Regular or Admin role, then enter its username and password in PopMCP. PopMCP swaps the password for an access token straight away and does not keep it. Then choose one project, or all of them. A token you already have can go under More options instead.
api-user@yourcompany.com••••••••••••3f7aOnly if this login has several organizationsA connection starts read-only, which blocks changes to queries, tags, mentions and alerts. A connection held to one project refuses any other. The token lasts a year by default, so you connect again when it ends. Brandwatch's rate limit is shared across your whole company, so the agent is told how much is left on every answer.
Drop the PopMCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other supported client. It signs in through PopMCP with OAuth, so your Brandwatch credential never leaves the server.
app.popmcp.com/mcpAsk for something harmless before the agent changes anything. Writes run as soon as it calls them, so confirm it reads the right account first.
Give me a snapshot of our brand query for the last 7 days: volume, sentiment, trend, topics, top sites and authors
brandwatch_brand_snapshotok
Then just ask for the work
“Give me a snapshot of our brand query for the last 7 days: volume, sentiment, trend, topics, top sites and authors”
“Show this week's negative mentions of our brand from news sites, with links”
“What is our share of voice against our two competitors this month?”
“Which phrases are trending in our query, and how do people feel about them?”
“Check this boolean search, then save it as a new query in English”
“Tag these mentions as complaints and mark them high priority”
One hosted endpoint, registered once per client. The same tools and the same permissions, whichever window the request comes from.
Add the PopMCP URL under Customize → Connectors and the tools appear in every chat.
The same endpoint, registered in the browser. Nothing to install on the machine you are working from.
Register PopMCP as a custom connector, then let ChatGPT read and update the account.
Wire the endpoint into Codex or the Codex CLI when a task needs live business context, not a fixture.
Register the remote MCP server in OpenCode's config for terminal-first and scripted agent runs.
Add PopMCP as an MCP server in Z.ai's desktop app and work the account from the same window.
FAQ
What teams ask before putting Brandwatch behind an AI client.
No. It sends the username and password to Brandwatch once to get an access token, then stores only the token, encrypted. Brandwatch has no other way to issue a token, so use a separate user rather than your own login. If you already have a token, you can paste that instead.
Brandwatch's licensing holds it back from the API. X posts come without text or author, LinkedIn without text, and online news as a short snippet. The link and metadata are still there, and counts and charts include them.
Brandwatch allows 30 calls in any 10 minutes by default for your whole company. Every answer tells the agent how many are left, each ready-made tool says what it costs and stops at a fixed number of calls, and your account manager can tell you about a higher limit.
No. This connects Consumer Research, including the Data Upload and Analysis APIs. Publishing, engagement and audience tools use a separate API that this token does not open, and dashboards have no API to read them, though the charts behind them can be rebuilt with the chart tools.
A Consumer Research subscription and a user with the Regular or Admin role. Uploading your own documents needs your account manager to turn on the Data Upload API, and the Analysis API is a separate package.
No. PopMCP hosts it and gives you a Streamable HTTP MCP URL. There is nothing to deploy, no callback URL to register, and no infrastructure to keep running or patch.
Any client that supports a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server: Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, ChatGPT custom connectors, Codex and the Codex CLI, OpenCode and Z.ai's ZCode, as well as editors such as Cursor, Windsurf and Zed. Your client signs in to PopMCP with OAuth; the provider credential never leaves the server.
Connect Brandwatch in PopMCP first, then run claude mcp add --transport http popmcp https://app.popmcp.com/mcp in a terminal. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in to PopMCP in the browser window it opens, ticking Brandwatch on the consent screen. The Brandwatch tools are then available in that session, and no Brandwatch credential is stored on your machine.
Loading 111 tool definitions into every conversation burns context before the work starts. PopMCP loads a curated 36-tool set covering the everyday workflows and keeps the rest searchable, so your AI pulls a specialist tool only when a task needs it. Every tool stays searchable, and on Scale the owner can load the full catalog for a teammate's connection.
A tool is something your AI calls, and there are 111 here. A trigger is something PopMCP watches for you: 6 Brandwatch events that can start work on the PopMCP side. Triggers never enter your AI client's context, and none of them ask you to paste a callback URL into Brandwatch.
Launch a hosted MCP endpoint for Brandwatch, keep tool access under control, and start testing real workflow prompts right away.
