What teams ask before putting ElevenLabs behind an AI client.

Do I need an OAuth app or a client secret to connect ElevenLabs?

No. The connect form asks for one thing, an API key, which you copy from the ElevenLabs dashboard under Settings → API Keys. There is no OAuth app, client secret or redirect URL to register anywhere. The hosted MCP server is then locked to the single workspace that owns that key.

What parts of ElevenLabs can the agent actually reach?

Speech synthesis (text-to-speech and dialogue), sound effect and music generation, voice management and the voice library, voice design, Speech-to-Text and Dubbing, Studio projects, and the full Conversational AI / Agents platform. Agents is by far the largest surface, ahead of Workspace, Studio and the voice modules. That is 300 operations across 30 API modules.

How many tools load into my AI client by default?

44 of the 300 operations load up front, so your client's tool list stays usable. The remaining ones stay searchable: when a task needs something outside that starter set, such as a Productions call or a pronunciation dictionary, the agent finds it in the catalog. You can also switch the connection to the full catalog if you would rather have everything present.

Can it see voice agent call transcripts and outcomes?

Yes. elevenlabs_get_conversation_histories and elevenlabs_get_conversation_history return past conversations and their details, including how each call ended. PopMCP can also watch for a transcript or recording becoming ready, a call that failed to connect at all, a conversation finishing, one ending without meeting its success criteria, or a caller leaving a poor rating.

How many of the operations write to my account, and which ones should I gate?

184 of the 300 write, against 116 that only read. The ones worth holding for review are elevenlabs_delete_voice, elevenlabs_delete_agent, elevenlabs_delete_conversation, elevenlabs_delete_dubbing and elevenlabs_delete_speech_history_item, plus elevenlabs_create_batch_call, which schedules calls out to a list of recipients. Set the connection read-only, or keep approval required on writes.

Is there a sandbox or test workspace I can point this at?
